a milestone for my girls

When I look back on old pictures of my girls together (like the one to the left from 1998) it almost makes me cry when I think of how fast the time has just flown by.
Ok, who am I kidding???
I do cry.
It feels like it was literally the blink of an eye.
They went from being my sweet, silly girls who loved wearing matching dresses, watching the movie Annie over and over while singing along, playing with babydolls and barbies to suddenly becoming…
women.
I know, I should say “young women“, but honestly,
they are mature, smart, sensitive {and demanding} women.
And, this past weekend, watching them get ready for their prom, I was just made that much more aware how quickly it is flying by and how soon it will be that they will be leaving the safety of our home and starting their lives without us playing such a big part.
(and how I hope and pray that we have prepared them enough to be successful)
Aren’t they stunning???
See why my heart is hurting…with their dates, Rob & TaylorGabi and her date Taylor, a good friend from schoolStephanie and her boyfriend RobI know my daughters look beautiful, but what I am most proud of are the stunning souls that reside within them.

A daughter is the happy memories of the past, the joyful moments of the present, and the hope and promise of the future. ~Author Unknown
